It is our pleasure to launch for the first time the open call for the first ESN Leadership Academy! 

The ESN Leadership Academy is an event that will engage 80 ESNers from the local level and introduce them to a learning cycle made of workshops and training based on non-formal education methods. A wide range of workshops in different fields and topics will be held during four days, which participants will be able to choose from, put together their own schedule and influence their own learning experience. 

We are now looking for an Organising Committee ready to take the challenge and be the first organiser of the ESN Leadership Academy! As Eduk8 is a different Event from other ESN events, please be really careful about the following requirements:


Basic information

Timing: 26.06.2015 to 01.07.2015 
Duration of training: 4 days from Saturday  - Tuesday 
People attending: 80 Participants (plus 8 Trainers / 1 External mentor / 2 International Board member / 3 Eduk8 Team Members)

What the OC should provide

Training rooms

5 training rooms for 20 participants each
1 main room for the whole group (up to 100 people)
1 working room for the trainer (24h access )

Mandatory requirements for the training rooms:
Movable chairs and tables
Enough space to move and to sit in a circle for 20 participants
Good Internet connection via wifi or 3G device (for Trainers and International Team)
Proper light
Walls on which flipcharts can be put and sticked 
Quiet environment 


Accommodation

3 nights for the participants (Saturday to Tuesday)
5 nights for the trainers (Friday to Wednesday)
One extra room where the trainers can work in the evening (not their bedroom)
Note: Accommodation and the training venue strongly preferable to be at the same place or within 5 minutes of walking distance 

Food

For participants: 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners
For trainers (depending of departure time): 4-5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 5 dinners
Healthy food
Coffee breaks from Sunday to Tuesday noon (7 coffee breaks in total)


Social programme

It is really important that the social programme is composed of chill-out evenings and not big parties. Participants are expected to be fresh and contribute actively in the sessions. The final social programme needs to be agreed with the Eduk8 Events Coordinator. The Events Coordinator is proposing support during the pre-application phase providing vital comments and suggestions for improvement for your application and budget. Keep in mind that the official deadline to submit an application is 23:59 CET 29th of March 2015. Once the applications are received, the Eduk8 Team together with the trainers will suggest the best application to the IB who is charge to appoint the OC.
