It is time to organise the next Eduk8 event: ESN Starter 2020!

If you are looking for new challenges to refresh the motivation of your local section, this is is the right moment!

This article contains a lof of details for potential Organising Committees to be aware of. However, don’t be scared by their length and detail: we just want you to have all the information and support necessary when preparing your application. If you're thinking of applying, here is what you need to know:

Basic Information

The ESN Starter is a training event that aimas at developing soft skills of ESN members through non-formal education (NFE). ESN members will learn the basic tools to design and deliver workshops through NFE, in order to start their life cycle to become future trainers. 

Timing preferably:
from the 14th to the 23rd of February 2020
or
from the 21st  of February to the 1st of March (preferred date)

**Please note that 4 trainers and 2 Eduk8 team member will arrive 2 days before and leave one day later than participants**

Duration of the event: 9 working days, from Friday (arrival day) to Sunday (departure day).

Number of spots: 40 participants, 4 trainers, 2 Eduk8 team member = total of 46 people.

Participation fee: Shouldn't exceed 100€. 

Grant support: We received a grant from the EYF which can be used for accommodation, food, local travel expenses, material (not too much), travels and fees for the trainers, which will help the OC cover their expenses. What the OC should provide

·  Accommodation: 9 nights (Friday to Sunday)

·  Food: 8 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 8 dinners

·  Coffee breaksFor all days (twice a day)

·  Opening & Closing Sessions: One big room for these sessions, ready to welcome up to 50 people at the same time

·  Rooms:

·  2 Classrooms for the workshops taking place simultaneously

·  1 Working room for the trainers and OC

 

Support for the application:

The Eduk8 Events Manager, Dániel Zsiros, is available for support during the pre-application phase to provide vital comments and suggestions for improvement to your application and budget. The OC and ESN International will sign an agreement stating the above-mentioned before the chosen OC is officially appointed by the Board.

The official deadline to submit an application is: 26th of November 2019

Please keep in mind: The Eduk8 training events are a bit different from other ESN events in terms of requirements. Please make sure to read carefully the list of requirements.
