Intercultural Dialogue 101 - application round is open!

It's that time of the year again, when you can take the first step towards becoming an ESN trainer. We hereby open the registrations for Intercultural Dialogue 101 aka Eduk8 Starter 2020!

This year, the Eduk8 Team has decided to take over the organisation of the event in an easily reachable venue which perfectly fits our needs! Therefore, the event will be taking place in Lewin Kłodzki, Poland from the 28th of February to the 8th of March 2020.

The Eduk8 Starter is aimed at ESNers who wish to acquire facilitation skills and begin the journey of becoming ESN trainers. The main goal is to teach how to plan, design, implement and evaluate short educational workshops on the local and national level of ESN. During the Starter, participants will learn how to facilitate knowledge exchange through non-formal education methods. They will also develop verbal facilitation and public speaking skills, as well as learn how to give and receive feedback and gain practical experience in delivering workshops. It includes 8 full days of training, with the 28th of February and the 8th of March being the designated travel days. Please keep in mind that it is crucial to be present for the full 8 days of training.

The Eduk8 Starter is especially relevant for any ESNers who already have a strong background of knowledge on a specific topic and would like to transfer that knowledge to others through workshops.

The main topic of Eduk8 lifecycle 2020 is intercultural dialogue for international cooperation, meaning that the Eduk8 Starter will serve as a basic training on the topic of intercultural dialogue and differences between cultures, where the participants will define intercultural dialogue and develop theoretical knowledge in this area. They will learn more about an intercultural understanding with emphasis on cultural inclusiveness on a global scale as well as on intercultural communication.

The participation fee for this event will be €100 and it includes accommodation, 2 warm meals, breakfast and 2 coffee breaks from 6pm on the 28th of February to 11am on the 8th of March (9 nights). It also includes all materials necessary for the training and covers the expenses of the trainers' team. 

Registration is in two parts and closes on the 12th of January 2020, 23:59 CET.

Step 1: Complete the online registration form here, until the status shows "Complete".
Step 2: Complete this application form and send it to [email protected]. This second step is very important for the training and without it, you will not be approved as an official participant. Please name the file with your country code, followed by your first and second name (Ex: "[UK] JohnSmith.pdf").  

Please proceed with the payment as soon as you get the approval (not before!) and latest by the 26th of January 2020. All the bank details for the transfer will be provided on the invoice (see ERS event for that). Any spot that isn't paid by this date will be automatically cancelled by the team.
