Choose your track!
During the event, you will be following one of three tracks for the whole four days. It's up to you to choose! This time we will offer the following tracks, all under the overarching topic of Active Citizenship:
- European Citizenship
This track aims to support the professional development of the participants by extending their critical understanding of European Citizenship, exploring and experiencing its potential and enabling them to recognise and integrate European Citizenship in their voluntary work within and outside of ESN. Participants will explore what it means to be a citizen of Europe, discuss European identity, and discover how ESN can promote European Citizenship through its projects.
- Citizenship Education
The aim of this track is to explore the role and practices of education for citizenship in building more peaceful, cohesive societies and preventing discrimination, hate speech, islamophobia and extremism leading to violence, as well as understanding what ESN can do in order to foster citizenship education across and beyond the network.
- Participation through Volunteering
This track is aiming to equip participants with competencies and tools enabling them to foster young people’s activation and participation in society. Participants will increase their understanding about principles of youth participation, discover how to influence decisions affecting their life, discuss the benefits of volunteering as well as learn about participatory mechanisms and share good practices, concepts and activities
The focus of the tracks will depend a lot on your applications, expectations, and experience with the topics. The training programme will be designed according to your needs. One thing is for sure: no matter what, the trainings will be of high quality and extremely fun! :)

In your application, we would like to ask you to outline your experience, motivation, and expectations regarding all topics, as it is important for us to balance the participants out in both tracks. You will be asked to choose your preferred track, and mark whether you'd be interested to join the other track in case you're not selected for your preferred one. Thank you for your understanding.
