Topic
Going for an international exchange often means a great change of context: this can usually have a great impact on the mental, emotional and physical well-being of international students, as well as their habits and lifestyles. The aim of this event is to equip ESN volunteers and sections with knowledge and tools to support international students with their health and well-being while abroad, through activities, events, campaigns, etc.
Choose your track!
During the event, you will be following one of three tracks for the whole four days. It's up to you to choose! This time we will offer the following tracks, all under the overarching topic of Health & Well-being:
- Mental and Emotional Well-being
Participants of this track will learn the basics of emotional awareness and emotional management. They will also explore how to take care of emotional well-being while abroad.
- Alcohol Comsumption and Party Habits
Participants of this track will learn about alcohol consumption and binge drinking as well as about the promotion of healthy consumption habits and safey at party events among international students.
- Nutrition while Abroad
Participants of this track will learn about food habits and explore how to promote healthy eating among international students during their stay abroad.
NOTE: This event is not meant to train participants on hard skills that are supposed to be applied by professionals: physicians, psychologists, etc. Instead, it aims at equiping volunteers with understanding and the soft skills that they will be able to use later on to empower international students on the topics of well-being and health.
The focus of the tracks will depend a lot on your applications, expectations and experience with the topics. The training programme will be designed according to your needs. One thing is for sure: no matter what, the trainings will be of high quality and extremely fun!
In your application, we would like to ask you to outline your experience, motivation and expectations regarding all topics, as it is important for us to balance the participants out in both tracks. You will be asked to choose your preferred track, and mark whether you'd be interested to join the other track in case you're not selected for your preferred one. Thank you for your understanding.
In case of any questions, fell free to contact the Eduk8 Events Manager Daniel Zsiros at [email protected].
We look forward to your applications!
